Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley

A Love-Gone-Wrong-Gone-Right Kind of Christmas

A witty “sequel” to Pride and Prejudice, marvelously loyal to Austen’s characters comes with the same joy of a beloved sitcom. Playing the spinster sister Mary, I had to stop myself from smiling so much throughout the most joyful rehearsal process I’ve been in to date.

This production was another lesson in you don’t have to act the era: love makes people do crazy things in any century. Finding the line between sitcom and farce, sharing the dressing room with 4 other young women, falling in love every night, this was truly and honor to be a part of.

Kauffman brings just the right combination of tartness and vulnerability. She finds a great rhythm and chemistry with…Covel (Arthur de Bourgh). Watching these two is as much fun as watching Steve Carell romance Amy Ryan in ‘The Office’.” – Press Enterprise

Kauffman is highly effective as the presumptive eventual spinter Mary” – Williamsport Sun-Gazette
