Part Ghost Story, Part Dinning Room Party, Part Seance
A slow burn thriller, this was my first time playing a character who holds so many cards in her hand and takes her time showing them – if at all. Part ghost story, part dinning room party, part séance, Hilda both calls on spirits and questions if any of this is even real. Playing opposite my beautiful collaborator, mentor and friend Elizebeth Dowd as Linda, it was an honor and a privilege each performance to go ask: what really happened to these women?
As a cast we explored what makes people believe what they believe? What’s the relationship between politicians and illusionists, and how the heck do we pull off these two massive magic tricks on stage?
