What, If Anything, Does One Generation Owe the Next?
Emerging artist Morgan McKenzie Kauffman joins 3 founding members of the theatre whose work and lives together span over 40 years (and seasons!) for The Children: the story of two retired nuclear scientists, their surprise visitor from their past, and the world crumbling around them all. As they reminisce, the past catches up to the present with one unavoidable request: what do they owe the next generation? Or how much?
At times funny, at times haunting, our production focused on intimate moments of life-long friendships, creating distance physically and emotionally amidst unraveling narratives, and evoking a world on the edge of collapse.
